IMPROV for beginners (in English)

This course is aimed at people with zero to very little experience in Improvised theatre - IMPROV - who would like to learn the basics and give it a go in a series of fun and welcoming evenings! 

Improv is for everyone - as it is playing and improvising as a person - regardless of profession or background. We create a safe space where, together, the participants create stories out of nothing. We use basic techniques and improv games created in the USA in the 1930s, developed throughout the years all over the world, as Improv got increasingly popular among all types of people, of all ages.

Some benefits of Improv are stimulating creativity and imagination, listening, being present, dealing with surprise elements, speaking in front of others, thinking fast and teamwork.

You will be part of a team, training your spontaneity, giving a free pathway to fantasy, and basically just having a good laugh on Wednesdays nights.

The classes will be conducted in English by the actress and improv player Ana Luiza Ulsig (info below), as part of the Lusus Theatre acting program of 2024.

About the proposer Ana Luiza Ulsig:
Ana Luiza Ulsig (or Analu) is an actress, playwright, and facilitator with more than 15 years of professional experience. Her work includes Improv, street theatre, site-specific/immersive and musical theatre. She was a host at the immersive comedy experience The Crystal Maze Live Experience in Soho, London; has been part of the improv groups Giggle me This (Denmark) and Teatro do Nada (The Nothing Theatre - Brazil) and in several improv shows.
She has a master’s degree in acting from London's Rose Bruford College and a bachelor’s degree from Unirio, BR. More info: www.analuizaulsig.com
